Changes For Round 23 v Saints

This might be the hardest to predict of all, given sentiment will be involved. This is an optimists version.

    IN: Buddy, Macca, Cameron
    OUT: Bell, Ronke, Melican

Based on the NEAFL GC$ game, Cameron won’t get a look in I shouldn’t think

Melican was excellent on Friday. Ronke will go out before Bell.

Melican had his best game of the season on Friday night. IMO, he's actually one of our most important youngsters in that he's a KPD. If he can become our next Reg or Ted, it solves a major piece of the puzzle going forward. He needs to stay, if for nothing else, his confidence.
    Cameron still not match fit.
From what has been said, Macca is only 50/50 at best but working on the assumption he comes in my ins would be:
    Ins: Macca Buddy
    Outs: Ronke Bell

I was thinking about if they bring in one of the four ruckman playing in the NEAFL, who would go out?

I’m assuming Kizza stays in for his last game.

Yes, Lewis was excellent; I was pleased for him. Looks like the spell in the seconds was helpful.

    Clarke can go for one.

He is not an AFL footballer; handballs to stationary team mates and panics under pressure.

Ronke is another who can go back to the two: was he even playing on Friday??

Lets not flatter ourself, Melbourne is really as bad as the GC.

Against St Kilda will be a true test of where we stand; but if we can win will set up next season nicely.

Two wins on the trot gives us a good feeling heading into the pre season.

Agree that Melbourne are broken and that St Kilda will provide a more reliable indication of where we are at to end the season.

I think that Clarke has shown marked improvement in this aspect of his game and seems to be more confident. He is doing longer better targetted handballs and kicks compared to earleir in the year. I think the coaches are having an impact here. I would play him as much as possible because if he can overcome this issue he has enormous upside due to his giant tank and mobility.
We have them where we want them, everything is going according to plan!

Agree with this. Still a young player and gets to many contests.

No changes unless Franklin or Macca are good to go.
Today's a draft of your epitaph
