We are short on pressure small forwards. Papley, Wicks, Ronke and Foot are our only true smalls. With the way modern footy is played, we need to have at least 2 in our forward line to maintain pressure and help lock the ball in our forward 50. Too often it's just been Paps supplying that pressure with a bit of assistance from a non specialist mid or one of the mediums who lack that explosive footspeed that comes from a true small forward.
Ronke in part has been a victim of his early success and at times I think judged unfairly. I felt his games this year we're much improved, in particular his forward pressure and also his delivery from half forward. I hope we keep him.
