Will fit in well with our other ruck stocks!

Just happens to have a couple of Premiership medallions. He's not that good as a ruckman that he'd help our mids.

A lot of hot air about player movements, way too many commentators getting paid to say something, anything to fill the news void. If Papley wants to go it will cost Carlton's first rounder which at this stage is looking very much at the pointy end of the draft, yet again! :-)

At this minute, I'm wondering who we'll select with Pick 3 in the ND? :-)

Crows look to have the coveted Pick 1 in the bag to bid on Ugle-Hagan

And then some. I don't know if one first rounder is enough. Paps is a gun and more importantly is under contract.

It certainly is not enough . Gun small forward who can run through the middle. Will likely be AA this year on current form , is in Coleman medal contention at this stage of the season, and he’s only 23. And as you said, under contract. 2 first round picks would be a start, but why would you give him up unless you had no choice?

I don’t think the Blues will bother this year, some other clubs might but unless they’re prepared to sell their souls they should give it a rest. He ain’t going nowhere.

In normal circumstances it takes 3-4 years before a newly drafted Ruckman shows much, at which point they can be poached.

They also seem to be a pretty high risk selection at the best of times and without much (or any) underage football form to go on, this year would be worse than most to try to draft a ruckman.

On the other hand a #3 draft pick may indeed be enough to acquire an up and comer from another club, as we did to get Mumford and Jolly for example.

FWIW I'd be very interested to see whether Ratugolea could be converted into a ruckman - a bit short perhaps but he looks quite vigorous (which I like to see in a ruckman).

Harry Perryman looks the goods. Off contract, showing AA form. GWS can't keep all their players (Williams, Kelly, Cameron etc) so surely something has to give. If it's not Perryman then Hately, Caldwell, O'Halloran, Shipley, Cummings should all be looked at.

Any word on where James Bell is at? Thought he looked okay when he played for us, showed more than Stoddart at least
