Probably, though it was a moot point once he was the Collingwood selection during the NSW Scholarship scheme.

Had the chance when he moved to Gold Coast but probably bad timing for us

Devastating news for Sam Naismith with his season ending knee injury.

Putting aside the player for a moment (as he seems like a great fella), who the hell signed him up until the end of 2021?

At the end of 2018 when the 3 year deal was signed he'd managed 28 games in 5 seasons, with major question marks over his durability. It wouldn't have taken Nostradamus to guess that he probably wouldn't see out those 3 years injury free. We're now stuck carrying him into 2021 with a tight salary cap and if we're going to be realistic he has very little prospect of ever playing a senior game again.

By the time 2021 is over he'll have managed 31 games over 8 seasons, that must be some kind of record. What is more disturbing is that it's is typical of our list management decisions in recent years

The Swans certainly aren't risk averse when it comes to list management.
I wonder when the Swans started doing these long term contracts? Anyone know?
GWS, GC, and we do it. Is it something the everyone in the league does, or just those clubs that feel the need to lock talent way from predatory Melbourne clubs?

Who is the recruiting bloke we got from the Bulldogs? Supposed to be the bees knees. So we get these fringe players in on his watch. Beatson should be the one and only one.

How much are we paying him? When did we sign him?

Do any of you naysayers have any idea?

Given the ruckman merry go round I don’t think we were mad to do what we did at the time. I don’t think he’s on huge $ and I support paying players to overcome injuries sustained in the workplace.

Or do you think that’s wrong too?

anyone keen on trying to trade in Liam Duggan or Jake Waterman?

Duggan to free up our left side HBF and Waterman to be that 191cm ish tall leading forward with aggression ?

both 22/23yrs of age......perfect window for a 3 year contract and what would we have to give up ?

Any opinions on Flynn or Briggs from GWS to help our ruck issues?

Dont think GWS would be real keen to let them go with Mumford and Jacobs already in their last year or so at the club.
