Dropping Aliir this late due to form sounds a little like shenanigans.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Don't understand how dropping Aliir so late would help him to get back to form! ( There was a practice match against Melbourne YESTERDAY) We don't have the NEAFL to let players play back into form. Perhaps some would fancy us to get the number 1 draft pick.

    Allir dropped to find form

Just so I’m not called a “hindsight hero” later, this is one of SuperCoach’s stupidest moves yet

Hayward all good to find form in the ones though 🙄

With Aliir a late out, I assume it means that McLean rucks and our key forwards are Blakey and Heeney? Really hoping that the rain comes in. There's a thin band on the radar, just to the north. It might make it wet, it might not.

    Makes no sense.

Certainly Aliir has been out of form, but so is half the league. Poor form this year is the average, not the exception. Watching the PA-GWS game and can't see anyone who is really playing well.

Probably Horse already had his post match excuse interview written and wanted to be sure that 'we were so short' excuse couldn't be challenged.

Aliir is a key back who has been playing out of position in the ruck. How the @@@@ is that out of form?

    This is a disgrace.

Hmmm very very strange to omit Aliir now. I'm glad he's not injured though.

I was looking forward to the Aliir - Mabior Chol matchup. The Sudanese players really lift when they play against each other. The Aliir - Daw matchup was a classic and both played well.

I also can't see we didn't bring another tall, like Maibaum or even O'Connor, just to have a bit of height to replace Aliir. It's just a practice match anyway.
