We are too clumped at stoppages so no-one is ready to grab the ball when it comes out. Freo are better at this.
We are missing Rampe and forward entries are a mess especially when compared to Freos' cleaner deliveries.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)
For some reason, the dare of the last few weeks has evaporated. Sure Freo seem to be defending well structurally but there’s not much run. We’re also lacking clean clearances and much pressure forward of centre.
Can't keep the ball in our forward line. They just stroll out with the footy and we have no idea where to go to crumb the footy.
No trouble finding a spot for Campbell and Gulden.
I think what this game has shown so far is that Ramps is hands down our most important player. That, and that we are a super young side that is capable of wildly fluctuating performances week to week. Freo have also been streets better than GWS were last week. Credit due there. Hoping for a better show in the second half, not quite ready to sack the coach though...
We're really missing Rampe. He's our talisman in defence and has been responsible for much of our drive out of there. Melican going ok though.
