    And now this "choke' nonsense.

Give us all a break so we can discuss footy again.

    Interesting, but unfortunately, flawed observation.

On a galactic scale, and colour matching.

ANZ Stadium is Rigel (a Blue super giant)
The SCG is Aldebaran (Red Giant)
And Giants stadium is Pollox (and Orange Giant)

There is only one person that does that Bazza. You might need to take a look in the mirror to figure out who.

Just imagine if Blakey's late kick for goal had either gone thru for a point or out of bounds and not out of bounds on the full, we might have got away with the game. Pity we couldn't hold up in the end. Just needed some experienced heads at the end.

The other stats? Missed the question.....there was no question mark.

Seriously though, yes those stats are relevant but in a match lost by five points they are less relevant than a free kick discrepancy, because the free kick stat is not a player stat, it's a stat borne from a non player source.....think about it. With all those extra possessions, clearances and inside fifties, they could only beat us by less than a goal.....but with fairer umpiring, they would have lost, and we'd be celebrating. That's relevance.....

A troll, as far as I know a definition, is someone who tries to provoke a reaction by an unreasonable comment. .
    I rest my case.

You're other comment which I haven't quoted doesn't deserve oxygen.

Does anyone pay attention to inside 50 stats these days? I would assume our coaching staff don't - we must lead the way in opposition I50s these days? That's how we play - we're coached to soak up (maybe even invite?) multiple I50s, so we're pretty much always going to lose that stat aren't we?

I reckon the club would have a more detailed breakdown, as quality is going to be as important as quantity.

I think it’s a high risk “unsustainable” strategy because it relies on our opponents i50s being poor entries.

If entries are well directed we can be scored against heavily.

You are, once again, derailing a thread on some stupid vendetta.

Agreed - I think it's high risk especially with a young, tired team like we were last night.

Trying to keep the thread on track - ie discussing the match.......

Agree it is dangerous. Our defence and its structure is excellent but unless we fix up midfield issues we lay ourselves open to being hammered by top sides.
