But yes, we have problems up forward. We are missing Buddy & Heeney plus McCartin has gone back. Don't think Reid should ever be our #1 forward. We definitely need to be boosting our marking foward / ruck stocks in the off-season.
If it was me, I'd be checking out Logan McDonald very closely. He may or may not be available by our first pick (assuming that we don't have to use it on one of the academy kids), but he is having a good season at senior level in the WAFL. Otherwise a ruck/forward in Tillthorpe has to be in calculations too.

I'd be very tempted to let anyone that will take Reid. I've been a supporter of his for years, and note that injuries have really hurt him, but he is a liability at the moment. Dropped 3 or 4 uncontested marks tonight - yes its wet but he has to swallow them up. Even if he marks them however, no guarantee he will kick the goal anyway.

I wish we had a forward line, I'm sorry, I've never thought Reid was up to AFL standard..
To be fair the weather isn't kind to tall forwards.

True - but what is frustrating is its not the contested marks he is dropping, its simpler uncontested ones, where other players have done the hard work that he is dropping like a bar of soap tonight.

A sore spot where a scan shows something is not right. I believe with a bone in the foot. Players usually rest a hot spot for a couple of weeks. You keep playing on it and something will give.

Being down by nine points at half-time to the second-placed team is not that bad an effort.

Judging by a few of the remarks on here, we should swap Reid to defence and McCartin to forward.

and the slow but inevitable belting begins. We just lack composure and class right now.

Our forward line is almost non existent. They costed us last week too.
