    Swans v Giants scratch match

We take on GWS in a scratch match this Saturday (26 Feb 2021) from 11am at the Giant Stadium. Unfortunately, the AFL mandats that all match simulations across the country are closed to the public. However, the session will now be live streamed through sydneyswans.com.au as well as the GIANTS app and website.

The match will be commentated by SEN's Russell Barwick with special guests from both clubs alongside him throughout the day.

Live updates on the day will be also provided via the Sydney Swans website and app, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram channels.

It almost feels like football season.

Are there any specific changes to Bench Size, Interchange Limits, Quarters Length , new rules trial for the scratch matches?

Don't think it will be delayed much. It is a well organised event by two professional teams. However most of these streamings can be replayed afterwards ( For example, I could watch the Academy Girls matches on the Social Media last Sunday after they were completed.)

I also watched some of the Academy Girls on replay.
Scores in both games were higher than most AFLW results; and, the U19 were a significant step in quality.

It is going to be 6 quarters. The best team will start and play 4.

In the report of the scratch match between the Hawks and the Dogs, it was mentioned that they have matches between their seniors as well as reserves teams. So does it mean that in our case, the seniors will play 4 and the reserves will play 2 quarters? This may perhaps be a way to make sure all players can showcase their readiness.

The GWS will have at least Braydon Preuss, Adam Kennedy, Brent Daniels, Bobby Hill, Phil Davis, Lachie Whitfield and first year player Ryan Angwin NOT being able to play this weekend.

I feel schadenfreude regarding GWS more strongly than any other entity.
