Sheldrick is obviously held in high regard to be given the number 12 guernsey and I for one am looking forward to seeing a fit Sheldrick in action next season.

Last year before the season started, Tom Harley came out and stated that the priority for 2023 was to resign the emerging young talent on the list, and wait until 2024 once they had a better read on the salary cap situation going forward, to move into the transfer/free agency market.
There was a danger that if they went heavily into the transfer market it could have a negative effect on players who were yet to renew their contracts.
What the club hadn’t countered on was the incredible injury list that seriously exposed our depth, and in hindsight, given the age demographic of our list, there was a gap in the middle aged player group that became apparent.
Having said that I think we should all be delighted with the way the club has responded this year.
