Great win. The boys played like they really wanted the win. Great intensity, ferocious tackling and loved that goal of Fosdike's where Magic put his hand on it to make sure it didn't go over the line whilst he tried to get a foot to it.
Nicks and Barry were great. I'm a shetland pony! (little hoarse).
    Bring it on!

As for our side, I can't believe this is the same side we have seen for much of this year. Then again, I shouldn't really be that surprised!!
Hmm... would that single person be the single person powerful enough to keep him away?

It was a great win today. Why oh why though do we always play to the opposition standard? It shouldn't take a formidable opposition on paper to bring out a hard-at-the-ball, committed, 4 quarter performance like today. I think we saw what we're capable of, and a flash back to 2003, now lets keep it going for the rest of the year!

A downer with Ball pulling up short (all I saw was his hand go to his hammy) - hopefully it isn't too bad and he can make it back for the Pies game (no point IMHO to try and get him right for next week if there's any uncertainty with the week break following).

Was great to have a rocking SCG again - it had been far too long.

So many good performances across the board so won't single any one out and will just say it proved that when we play as a team with even contributions across the board is when we are at our best. I will however make mention of the comparison of St Kilda's forward output last week compared to this week:

Last week Gehrig, Milne, Riewoldt, Hamill and Powell kicked 24 goals between them, today, only 2, one of which was from silly play before 3 qtr time when Leo got pinged by Hamill, and the other to Riewoldt just on full time.
If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

the call about Leo being "Leo the Lionheart" is just so true.

    He is amazing!!!!!!

I'm just a very happy girl at present.

    Our boys did us proud.

Breaking into song over and over on the way home.

I'll be wearing Red and White tomorrow for sure.

Hear hear. That would go down as one of the absolute best individual performances in recent Swans history - right up there with Goodes' effort against Port last year.

I can't believe that he managed to completely shut Gehrig out AND gain over twenty, quality possessions of his own. Absolutely sensational.

No one replied to my post a few days ago but does anyone think that we could have played that way at Stadium Australia?

    For my mind, no.

    Totally agree with you there.

What's quite disturbing I think is the fact that, that was our last home game on a Sunday this year.

The rest we have are Saturday night games....

I would have preferred at least one of those Saturday night matches to be scheduled as a Sunday day game - but I suppose you have to be satisfied with what you get instead.

    SEN-BLOODY-SATIONAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

fantastic day - and to see Gehrig kept to 2 handballs - unbelievable! Leo Barry - words fail me to describe how well you
played - hope the ankle is OK.

It was really vocal in the MA Noble - wonderful atmoshpere.

And like Aussie Ange (and boy the girl was in very good form) I'm a little throaty (should take up career in 0055 phone calls!)

    cheer cheer one and all!

"How is it possible that this is the same team that nearly went down to Hawthorn a couple of weeks ago?"

    ----------------------------------------
We know there were mitigating circumstances for this narrow win... if we had kicked accurately we would have romped in...we traditionally have trouble matching it up with the hawks...and, one thing that many forget, we had just come back from Perth the previous week. This last point, to me is logically a nonsense, but seems to affect a lot of other teams in the league, and is an often-cited excuse for a poor performance the next week.
"Davis...Davis has kicked 2...he snaps from 40...dont tell me, dont tell me, hes kicked a goal....unbelievable stuff from Nick Davis, can you believe this, he's kicked 3 final quarter goals and Swans are within 3 points..."
