    Ablett coming of age

Listened on the radio and the commentators raved about it being his best game ever, backs it up from a pretty handy one last week. The faith Roosy has showed is starting to pay off.

By my count he had 2 touches in the second half...

...but Scotland only touched it 10 times for the day.

His last two games have probably been his best though, so he'll be hard to delist now - presuming he can maintain it.

I've been one of his critics, but I can't but be impressed by his performance today, especially in the first half. Showed a turn of speed on the wing to outpace Lappin too.

McVeigh did some nice things too (also some poor play)

NOG for BOG! Although I think Bazza will want a say in that. Definately his best game so far. How the hell are we going to cut 4 players from our list at the end of the year? Everyone is putting their hands up to say "not me".

Definitely his best game so far! Keep up the great work NOG!

    I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

Well I was at the game at I reckon he was our best in the first half. He provided a lot of drive and looks to have gained confidence at the highest level.

Was pretty good last week as well - well done Luke.

....also well done Barrington Of Hall!

I was also at the game and he appeared to run out of petrol tickets in the last quarter. Apparently had the most possessions on the ground in the first half.

Hopefully he will become match hard with more ground time.

On McVeigh - a genuine player of the future. He has to learn not to handpass to the captain regardless. That botch in the 4thQ was caused by Maxfield making a dumb call and a very poor handball by McVeigh. He was running full pelt and half looked backwards and both he and Maxfield both looked off balance. A poor play when he had the key forwards one out with a long kick.

Ablett's best game, although mostly early on as mentioned in earlier post. In tricky conditions he definitely had an impact, probably the first time ever.

Probably the best game for Ablett in his time in seniors, if not defintly his best since the Bris final last season
