And the man who started it, the Schneiderman, can kick his third for the quarter. And the swans are in the Grand Final!
I didn't go, but my mate did and he reckons it was one of the more memorable times he's seen clothing handed out to well paid sports people. He's had his tickets for ages (he'd go to the opening of an envelope if it was to support the Swans).
Anyway, my mate said it was great to hear from Roos and Maxfield and that he met a few of the new recruits who are all pretty keen.

Interesting to hear Roos say with regard to #8:
When he came onto the scene he looked to be a very good midfielder, he has had the set-backs with injuries so it is hard to tell. I know he can improve on his career at Geelong. We got him here because we know he can add to our depth in the midfield
Maxfield gave a great talk - said he doesn't single people out - but special mention must be made of the defenders - Schauble, Leo etc and Buchanan/Ablett - always with their head in and under and trying all the time.
Roos spoke well as usual. Kelly was there and was very obliging for photos, autographs and general chats.
Food - ?????????? Packed - better at the place it was last year for room and freedom of movement around the tables. We heard about 7 and 10 putting in their bid for the broadcast rights. Channel 7 filmed last night in its entirety.
Love those Swans
Did anyone else pick up Maxfield when he said that they would continue their "endless" quest for a premiership. Doh !
I was VERY impressed with the way that the players handle the public - I haven't been to any functions or after-matches for years, but to see Barry Hall (amongst others) handling the public was fantastic. There is probably a fair bit of truth in what was said about the Swans developing people.
Before you criticize a man, walk a mile in his shoes. That way you'll be a mile away and he'll be shoeless.
I assume by "endless" he meant that there is always another season (even if you win the flag).
I've put that up on my desk at work. After Maxfield's speech at the town hall, coach Paul Roos reinforced the message.
"I will acknowledge there are more talented teams in the competition," Roos said.
"But I won't acknowledge there is a better team in the competition."
He would probably say the same of Maxfield's captaincy.

Why "that"??? couldn't you find a better word?
I'll be writing up a report later today. I've been interstate since Thursday morning early and unable to get it done.
Dream, believe, achieve!
Wanna read about what Bron got up to at the Guernsey Presentation night? Here it is...

Just finished reading Bron's report of the Guernsey presentation. A nicely put together summary of the evening's events. Well done. Congratulations also on your fifth place finish in the Director vote.
