AFL.com reports that Sydney youngster Adam Schneider is the round five nominee for the National AFL Rising Star Award.
Schneider was drafted by the Swans at the 2001 National Draft, after playing for the NSW-ACT Rams in the National AFL Under 18 Championships. In 2002, he secured a place in the Port Melbourne side for the VFL Grand Final.
In round 5, Adam kicked 3 goals against Melbourne at an important time during the match, helping the Swans to win the inaugural Barassi Cup on Anzac Day.

Luke Ball (St Kilda), and
Sam Mitchell (Hawthorn).
