The last two SCG finals I have sat on your side of the ground (as you don't get to pick your seat) and have noticed the volume of EVERYTHING is much louder on that side of the ground. It can be irritating enough over in the O'Reilly trying to hold a conversation during one of the breaks and fighting with the noise. But at least you can try...not over in the Churchill or Brewongle.

Interesting comment Liz. I did wonder if the music was louder in the Brewongle. It sounded as if I had a powerful loudspeaker at full volume mounted on my right shoulder immediately behind my ear.

    Just awful.

No SC, but they did have "players choice".
Sinkers picked "easy"... now I'm assuming that's a redo of a commodores song. If it is, isn't it a bit "slow" for the footy?
(I could be wrong - who knows who the kids listen to these days!!)
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.

The SCG is a tired old stadium, a hotch-potch of stand designs that look like the result of an Alan Jones tantrum, and speakers that probably date back the the goldern age of vinyl records.
... and we are stuck with it for 30 years!
Everytime I go there I am disappointed. Maybe when the tram opens in 2026 I might try again.

So where would you rather see they play Bazza?

Quite clearly at a ground so far out of date after only 2 decades that they had proposed to tear it down almost completely and start again rofl

All alternatives have been burnt. We are stuck with this aging dinosaur.

It was played in one of the breaks in the Bulldogs v Pies match at docklands yesterday.
Happy for the dogs to take it.

    Yes.

I was thinking Friday night sitting in the Brewongle as that LOUD garbage destroyed my eardrums, ‘oh for Sweet Caroline’.

So many people fed up with the noise. I hate it with a passion.

When will we be allowed to talk with one another?
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

Yes, I miss it. So much better than the "noise".
