    This is virtual mouth-to-mouth.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.

    Longest RWO thread ever.

    Worst Swans trade ever.

    What a ride it's been.

I heard Gretel Tippett mentioned in the netball coverage. How's she doing?

Great trade at the time......didn't work out......we move on. Simple.

Good luck Kurt.....none of it was your fault.....it's just life.

We gave it a shot, it didn't work out. But I like Kurt and hop he looks back on his time at the Swans as a good experience.

Agreed in terms of not blaming Kurt, and he did his best when he could get on the field. But check some of the very first posts in this wonderful thread to see the alarm of some posters at the potential deal before it even happened.

Well, they can all pointlessly pat themselves on the back.....because it doesn't change anything.

When Kurt was fit and healthy he played some excellent football for us. Sadly, as we know too well, his body and bad luck did not allow that to happen for long periods of matches.

This article from Tony Armstrong, written early 2018 when Tippett’s retirement was first announced, sums it up.

‘ONE thing that seemed to be overlooked when Kurt Tippett anounced his retirement was just how good he was.

I was lucky enough to be at both the Crows and the Swans with him and back then, at the peak of his powers, all you had to do was get the ball into his area and he either took a big mark or halved the contest. Every time.

He was a super-mobile big man who took pack marks and kicked clutch goals.’

I may as well contribute to this thread for the last time.

Very sad to see Tippett go. He was a gun and at his best could tear the opposition to pieces. Will never forget the Adam Goodes "tribute" game against Adelaide. Apart from the outpouring of emotion offered to Goodesy that night, Tippett's game was outstanding. Tore Adelaide apart.

His 2016 season, up until he got injured had him in line for all Australian selection. Prior to round 12, when he got injured against GWS he took all before him as our number 1 ruckman. A real pity his body wouldn't stand up to the stresses of AFL football.

I recall him playing some great games for us but also some shockers. I know he had a shocker along with some others in one of our Grand Finals. I seem to remember reading that Grundy gave him a bake after the game for not contributing that day.
