What about the time when it was the top five(?) who made finals? Did they ever finish 6th?

    Final four to 1971 (various finals systems), Richmond finishing fifth: 1922, 1946, 1948, 1954, 1965, 1966, 1968.
Final five, 1972 to 1990, Richmond finishing sixth: None.

In total, Richmond has missed the finals by one place on the ladder 17 times. 16 of those were in even-numbered years.

I live in the West, and I hear Weagles and Shockers for WC and Fremantle.

I’ll happily tolerate North over GW$ any day of the week.

The AFL may have to trickle money into North to help them survive, but it flowed into GW$ to try to manufacture success. Thankfully they haven’t bought the premiership yet.
