Thread: The Lizard

    The Lizard

Was thinking about a young Buddy Franklin in his first year of footy 2005 and our comparing him to young Nick “Lizard” Blakey

I was lucky enough to see Buddy play round 1 against Sydney in season 2005

Buddy in his first 3 seasons had

    2005 - 21 goals from 20 games
    2006 - 31 goals from 14 games
    2007 - 73 goals from 22 games

So what about our Lizard ?

I wonder what his trajectory will be if injury free over his first 3 seasons ? At the moment he is tracking the same as Bud year 1

    2019 - 14 goals from 14 games

Could be anything, especially of he puts on weight and becomes a goanna.

I can’t wait to “monitor” that 😂 lol

    Buddy
    1 goal a game year 1
    2 goals a game year 2
    3 goals a game year 3

    Hopefully for the lizard too

Because his team mates think his running style resembles slithering.

@AG.....Do you think we could have a capital 'L' in the word 'lizard' in the heading of this thread? I think Nick's 'nick'name deserves a capital 'L'.

I believe it was JPK who said Blakey has no shoulders.

It's because he has no chin, his head and neck kind of join into one
