I noticed this alot last year, Mcglyn gets a little too hungry and takes hard shots at goal when there is players open in better positions in the 50, I think he really needs to work on his vision and communication, otherwise, he has a strong work ethic, great pressure and usually never gives up and that's what you have to love about him, he'll stay in the team because we need that, all he needs to do is work on those small areas like passing it off.

I'm not completely sold on Dre, at all. Yeah he had 2 goals, could've been 4, 18 possessions but again, I don't think he has the effectiveness as some of our other players who are trying to get a spot. He does have alot of potential though, so I won't write him off.

Dre has worked for our overall rotation of players against the GWS and Suns teams and it gave us options in case Smith or Mattner couldnt finish games due to under done thru the preseason.............my guess is Dre is on the way up but now that Mattner and Smith have proven their fitness and now Bird is on the way back my guess is that Bird will feature in a tagging role to allow our midfield options to rotate free of the opposition when needed

Bird was a very important piece of teh puzzle last season and will continue to be so unless Mitch Morton and or Jed Lambie make their case in ressies week after week

Jude has also thrown a spanner in the works

I dont think many of us would have thought he would be running around in pre season and rounds 1 and 2 as sharp as he has been

i was seriously wondering whether he should retire in 2012 on a high........he is looking even better then 2012 !

Jude is seriously in form and wont be dropped out of the 22 easily

Geelong's pressure exposed North in the second half. Although the game was a thriller in the end the Cats kicked should have won by four or five goals.

If we bring our best defensive game next week we will win. We're probably a lot closer to our best defensive game than our best offensive game.

Morton and Armstrong are the obvious candidates for promotion but I'm not sure anyone deserves to be dropped.

Agree,MM has "football smarts" which we need around the goals against the better teams.Had he been fit enough to play against GWS or GC he would have got 4 or 5 goals from the opprtunities that were created that other players squandered. Dre is a useful player that still needs to have that break out game and find his spot in the team. MM is a match winner, just watch the Grand Final.

    This

Can't see any need for changes this week.

If you can overlook Everitt's clangers, he had a good game, although I'm not sure I've ever seen a more error prone player in the AFL. Not sure if I could cope if he ever plays a Grand Final for us!!
