Interesting we are adopting the Eddie Betts tactic of a forward starting at the back edge of the square at centre bounces and running forward

Too bad most of the time it's Towers in this role.

Poor kicking into the forward line by Jack and Hanners and defensive forward pressure has to lift. Not good out of the middle, AGAIN.

Naismith is poor. Jumping way too early and giving us nothing out of the guts. Why doesn't he use his height and just stand there. For whatever reason wants to jump at Ryder.

Naismith is getting smashed in the middle. Get him out of the centre bounces. Really poor and is giving Port easy clearances.

I have no idea why Foote is playing - did not do much pre season and doesn't seem to have any tricks to me.

Unlike Zak Jones - he is a definite keeper - balance, skills, toughness and pace - all that you want.

Wouldn't like to be in that dressing room after the last two minutes.

What lazy, lazy football the last 2 minutes. What in hell was Lloyd thinking with that grubber kick. We are not sharp at all.

He's going better than Hewitt and Cunningham.

I can see that our new game plan is to play like Carlton. I think I prefer the old system when we used to tackle and win the contested ball. It is supposed to be a strong draft year, so playing for the wooden spoon is an strategy with some merit.

    Hhhhmmmm

Our backs have made some ordinary decisions today despite the forward pressure from port being very good first 2qtrs

Not a great start to the season but credit to Port who are playing well and seem to be a bit harder at the ball and having a picnic from centre bounce.
Just a little bit early to be talking about draft picks ????
Reid to kick three more in the second half and we get up to win by that many goals.
