There seems to be two main schools of thought on how the game might go. Firstly, Fremantle will be a bit overawed and they'll bring their somewhat flaky recent form into the contest. Which will see them soundly beaten by a Brisbane side, which has a reputation for turning it on when it really matters. Or secondly, Fremantle has been the best side all year, and with the motivation of a first ever flag, they'll be able to grind out a tough win.

I'm certainly hoping for the latter. After being blessed by the F/S rule, I don't really want to see Brisbane get a threepeat. Plus a first Fremantle premiership has a certain amount of sentimental appeal. For that to happen though, they need to get on top in the clearances, so they'll need big games from at least some of Jackson, Serong, Brayshaw or Young. So for me, I'm going for a close Fremantle victory, with either Jackson or Serong to claim the Norm Smith.

For awhile there it looked like he might be disappointed...
I see the Swans had the most team votes, 102.....followed by Freo with 100. Then it was a fair gap to the next, Geelong with 87. Brisbane, Hawthorn and Melbourne next with 86 each then Adelaide with 81.

Collingwood got 75 all up so Daicos' 47 was well over half. Carlton pipped them by one with 76. These two were 8th and 9th on the team aggregate list. St Kilda were 10th with 71.

Then the rest with totals in the sixties or less, like West Coast with 31, Essendon with 24 and Richmond with 15. They were the last three on the list. All other teams were somewhere in the 60's.

So well done Swannies, we take out the 'Team Brownlow" for 2026. Yey!

Should actually be a quality game and I've got no idea who's likely to win. No clear idea who I want to win. The mustard on turd, or the side going for a threepeat, after being blessed by the F/S rort? Not sure what sort of game I want to see, either? An intense and thrilling battle, that will appeal to the neutral observers? By the way I feel for Callum who has displayed exceptional leadership this year particulalry over the last few weeks, I was beginning to think he lacked leadership (since is wretling injury a few years back) he always had the playing abilty you dont win the Rising Atar without it.
