Wonder how wise it was to draft him now!

Michael Martyn underwent scans this afternoon on an injured right knee
following a mishap at Carlton's training session at Optus Oval this morning.
The scan revealed that Michael has a grade 2 medial ligament strain. Michael
is expected to be back in full training in four to six weeks and be
available for Carlton's first match of the 2003 AFL season.

I have only been following Aussie Rules for about 7 years and this is the very first time I have seen Mick on crutches.

Carlton are having some serious karma!

Martyn had an unlucky accident at training, he didnt get injured cause of his age. Unlucky.
Still will be a good fill in.
Unlike Carey who is getting soft tissue injuries cause of his age.
Dont worry, martyn will do alrite.

Actually, Mrs Illinformed, Martyn played 20 out of a possible 23 matches last season. He missed round 6 7 and 8.

Hardly someone I would call amazingly injury prone.

If anything he is getting older, so injuries will come on more often, and they will be harder to get over because of age.

If you wish to use apparent facts, research/think before you post.

Masey I share your sentiments, and I just wish to reiterate martyns age had nothing to do with this latest injury, it was a unlucky accident.

If anything he [Martyn] is getting older

Is this phenomenon unique to Martyn? :p

Thats entirely correct.
Age had nothing to do with it at all, just an unfortunate incident in a training exercise, he fell awkwardly, could happen to anyone!

Have you heard this guy string a few words together..I hardly think he has any concept of anything apart from footy and his computer programming skills.

Unlucky accident that seems far worst b/c of the situation he was in at the end of last year.

I like Mick as he is from the old skool of Fullbacks. Like our very own legend Andrew Dunkley was.

It apparently seems worse than first thought for martyn. Could miss 6-8 weeks now.

Not looking good to start the season (which is fine since we play them early :D)

You mean you don't want Bazza to kick 15 goals???
