The Sports Inn

Just a good tip if the Alex is packed and you and friends can't get a good vantage point to see the game... just walk down Henderson Rd towards Newtown about 500m to "The Sports Inn" as I did two weeks ago! It was a pleasant discovery.

It has a huge screen right in front of tables, bar and food all in the one room metres away and visible from the screen and hardly anyone there.

I work just up the road, I haven't been in there lately but it used to be the Camellia Grove aka dodgiest pub in Sydney. They still have quite a few colourful looking characters hanging around during the day.

Hardly anyone there! Wouldn't you prefer some atmosphere?
