I know we need to get through the Bombers game first BUT...

what a game this is shaping to be! Both sides battling for top 4 and there should be a big crowd at the MCG.

Anyone heading from Sydney down?

Me! Me! Me!

We will have to fire up big time. All hands on deck for that one. I am flying down on the ungodly 6am horror & am carring it back with Air Hatley.

Maybe you can reveal yourself to the RWO crowd at the Cricketers Arms from 11ish on match day?

The CS will be in the Ponsford Stand in the lower tier. I will be trying to bags the seat I sat in during the Grand final if I can. (Maybe the back row brigade can do that and hark back to THAT day!?)

If you are unreserved seat Swans members, why not gather around this vicinity and really help create a co-ordinated effort to help get the boys home?! I'll be bringing down evety sign I can frm Sydney so as to help createa bit more colour behind the goals.

As per JF, make sure all you Sydney people coming down and Melbourne supporters as well congregate in the Ponsford Stand end of the ground. That is entry via Gate 1 and will be right in front on the after match function which will be upstairs on the second level.

There will be hardly any Melbourne supporters in this area as they all sit in the MCC which is adjacent to the Ponsford Stand or in the downstairs part of the new Olympic Stand.

Would be great to get as many Swans supporters in the one spot to add some atmosphere. Usually we end up spread all over the ground.

Maybe an e-mail to the Melbourne office might prompt them to send out an e-mail to Melbourne based members asking for them to congregate down at the Ponsford Stand end of the ground.

It's such a blockbuster, I reckon we should get it moved out to Telstra Stadium.

Come on Dees, all of the evidence so far in 2006 suggests that it will actually improve your chances of winning...

After seeing where you sat at the Hawthorn debacle, I decided next time we would try to get seats on that level.:D I did like being in the front row on level three though.

I sat right behind you JF on THAT day so you have brought back a flood of memories.

I'm flying over. Will be able to catch up with my eldest who lives in SOUTH MELBOURNE now and hopefully see us put the Demons in the rightful place...beaten by us.

Jeepers I'm starting to sound like someone from Saintsational...somebody stop me.

We have beaten Melbourne in Melbourne in the past two years so we should be able to get a third... or will we?

This season's been very jittery for us, that's for sure. Should we be weary of Essendon, who up to the weekend were on course to become the worst team in AFL history? One one hand, it's a game that looks easily winnable for us. On the other, the Bombers are coming off a drought-breaking win and could come fired up.

True, we haven't beaten them in Sydney since 2003, but anyway.

I'm also going down. Leaving Saturday morning, returning Saturday night. Should be fanatstic!! On my usual flights. DJ 810 @ 715am, and returning on DJ893 @815pm
This will defiantely be my last trip this year, I have to give the credit card a rest before I go on holiday in September. I had orginally booked for the Geelong game, but bloody DeathStar cancelled my flights, and ended up asking for my money back.
A enjoyable, but long day out.

I was lucky enough to be there last year, so if they make it this year, I won't feel as bad. The Grand Final also falls on my birthday this year, so it could be a double celebration.
I've alreadt spent in excess of over $1500 on travel this year to go to Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide, and for a 22 year old that doesn't earn the big bucks, that is a lot of money!!
I promised myself that this year I would cut back, but didn't keep it.
My choice was a possible grand final or 2 weeks in America and a 7 night cruise to Mexico. Personally I think I have made the right choice.

Am taking my 6yo twin daughters for their first ever game of footy. So I won't be in the Cricketers, more's the pity. Nor will I be supping luke warm plastic schooners.

With the memory of the Comm Games in mind, I'll need to stock up on food and colouring books and textas. They'll probably only last a half however so it will be a wrench to leave at half-time. I may have to take the pa-in-law to help with the organisation - can just imagine when one wants to go to the toilet (and by heavens they do), it'll be a posse.

The Cricketers IS child friendly. We are normally out the back on the patio eating sausage sandwiches. Anni & gang normally have their kids in tow. The place is definitely not a bad place for people with kids.

I like being a level higher than ground level so I like to have that confirmed and particularly because I got Row A in the Ponsford Stand (Level 2) which are some of the best views in the land.

Personal choice I guess.

Personal choice I guess. We plan on sitting in the Ponsford, Cruiser showed me some great seats that aren't reserved around about where you will be sitting. Last game I sat in level 3 front row, it was great. Mind you just about any seat in the MCG has a good view. I particularly like Section Q13, Row DD, Seat 20. Particularly when it is the last Saturday in September.:D
