Sensational work, many levels above what gets published in the mainstream media. Cuppla comments.

1. While the Roos probably won't have a specialist defender double-team Hall, they will definitely be after one (or several) of the upfield blokes to run into his leading space, having a similar intended effect. Not sure who (but then, I didn't watch hardly any of the Geelong game). Is McIntosh mobile enough? Is Swallow too small? Could be the type of job Corey Jones is in the side to do. If they don't do it, or don't get it right, our forward line should be able to kick a winning score. Provided they get passable-quality service from the midfield.

2. I would be flabbergasted if Rawlings didn't have strict instructions to be Goodes' shadow (and to annoy the hell out of him, testing out both his temperament and his shoulder) for the full 120 minutes (I know, but '80 minutes' just doesn't feel right). Goodes on song would completely break their midfield plans apart; and no-one else in their 22 comes close to Rawlings as the guy for the job.

Great work Mark but an interesting fact that i had forgotten was ....
(* McVeigh went at pick 5 and Malceski at 64)IMO Melcho will turn into a lot better player than McVeigh

Excellent review!

I really hope (more than expect!) that we can put 2 wins on the board on the road in the next 2 games - would obviously leave us in top 4 with 2 potentially tough games after that - Port at the SCG and the doggies down at Manuka.

I'm really hoping that Goodes can step up this week - courage in the face of adversity and all that - and have 25+ possies, a couple of goals etc.

After the dees last week, Baz should be able to push on and have another dominant week. It will be interesting how Roos decides to play Mick this week - last week he was pushing up the ground in an apparent move to free up space in the forward 50. This may not be such an issue on the larger TD.

And of course, how will we fare without the Irishman's run from the back? I feel really positive that we can cover his loss this year (unlike last!), but let's see how things go ove the next few games.

I'm plumping for a 3 goal victory, to set up nicely for St.Kilda next week (which I'm really pumped for, as it's my first visit to TD!!!)

Great review Claret!

If you are only as good as your last match, then I'm getting concerned about this game. The Kangas have played a small, mobile forward line that will put pressure on our rebound, especially without Kennelly. Expect Malceski's opponent to sit in the goal square. Also they have moved their half-forwards back, so expect an even more congested midfield than usual.

Swans by 10 in a low scoring match.
