View Full Version : Mark Bayes and the Father Son Rule

The Big Cat
1st April 2008, 07:42 PM
Just been reading the latest Swans magazine and see that Mark Bayes has two very athletically talented children - But the son plays soccer! Then I read about Brian Cordy's son being a potential first rounder for the Bulldogs. Where is Neil Cordy's boys? Gerard Healy has all girls! Plugger has all girls! Half Geelong's team are F/S gifts and they claim they built a side without round 1 picks!

Come on where's the justice. We need a designated swans breeding program!

We need a designated swans breeding program!

Yep, been saying it for years.

And now with the new partnership with the Swifts, we should utilise there athleticism.

When a player reaches 100 games, making offspring eligible for F/S selection, they should be able to pick a 'Swift of their choice'.

For the girls part, we'll give them season tickets and a Swans T-shirt, just so everybody knows which team they root for. :p :p

We should get Luke Ablett onto the breeding program quick smart with a Sydney Swift. ;) You never know, we could have the next Gary Ablett Snr in store for us, down the track. :D

???????

Played for Sydney in early 90s maybe 91? From Carlton I think we swapped a 1st round pick for him

Triple used to think he was quite a handy player, the great white hope was Warren

Know Cords reasonably well. Sad to say can't see his boys progressing to AFL level.

The match committee needs to have an input into the decisions relating to players' partners. Potential partners need to be fully assessed for athletic ability, decision making, etc. In fact there needs to be a special camp for potential player wives following the same guidelines and testing as the draft camp.

I reckon Big Cat a most definite. We need to start now so that we can build a Swans dynasty into the future. The potential players wives need to be pretty hand athletically as well so to reinforce their kids sporting potential. I shotgun a spot on the staff at the special camp though :)

But can we stop the likes of Ben Mathews, Paul Bevan and Jude Bolton from participating?

Speaking of FS, does anyone know who gets first crack at Roosy's boys, us or the Lions? I know he played just under 100 games for us, but am pretty sure coaching is included.

BBB: post of the year! :D

About 99% certain the Lions get them. I read somewhere that he hopes the rules would be changed to include coaching because at the time, it didn't.

Oi Reggi, a pretty low blow posting that 15 minutes after I said I was going to bed. You knew I couldn't respond.

It wasn't McKenzie, Michael Werner was my lovechild from that era. :p :p :p :p

Maybe DrJ was keen on McKenzie ? ;)

They are the ones that need to be mated with women with exceptional pace, spring, skill, peripheral vision, decision making abilities, flair etc to compensate!

Also remember that it's not too late to bring some of our ex stars back for stud duties. Carter could have a tilt at it. Plugger could could do just that. Kels could dive into the pack.

cant forget warwick capper of course- even if he is @@@@@@@@ up in the head he still was some footballer. Might be a bit past it but if we can find someone special to go with him might get something decent out of it- surely one of his pornstar friends should have plenty of stamina if nothing else!!
