It began on Friday when we arrived...
"Farm sitting" for my Mum's cousin in the Hunter Valley- 4.5hr drive with the wife and kids. All is well.
I went to check the telly on arrival.
NO CHANNEL 10!
WooHoo! Satellite dish! Flick through the channels...
WooHoo! Fox footy!
WHAT!! THIS CHANNEL IS LOCKED! Oh No.
Go to Uncles farm next door. "We have CH10 but the reception's pretty bad."
Check the telly...coloured snow...can I seriously watch this??
Things were getting desperate!
BRAINSTORM! I will just pay the extra to unlock the footy channels.
Call the provider..."I'm sorry sir but you are not the account holder so we cannot do it"
Put a call through to Mum's cousin..."I'm sorry they are not in their room" Leave a message to call.
Nervous wait. Will it have to be the radio? Bad reception as well.
Bloody hills!
Sunday. Contact is made! THE CHANNELS ARE UNLOCKED!
Wait till 6.00pm to see match...
