Given that clubs are looking at Fiji, Ireland, South Africa, Canada?! for potential international rookie recruits, why aren't we looking to the States? Surely there is a ready made population of athletic players from a variety of sports. If Roosey goes back over with wis wife he could serve as our US recruiter, or maybe John Ironmonger could be our talent scout?

Maybe it is a money thing...all that value of the dollar against the greenback stuff doesn't make it appealing for a U.S. citizen.

I'd personally want a midfield full of Kenyans, forward line of Zulu's and backline of Afrikaans.

I can't see why not bring a talented youngster over or set up a trainee/scholarship here. The league is growing quite big there now. Only a matter of time.

Not really. He's Australian, who has been in America for 4 years playing basketball. Not the same thing. You see, our mob play for the love of the game (and the money), and from what I have seen of major USA athletes in general, they play for the money (and the love of the game.....):p

Being paid in A$ to come over will make it appealing rather than having to pay your own way
