Port pay for late show

PORT Adelaide's finals woes continued today when they were slugged with a $10,000 fine by the AFL for a late entry to the MCG on Saturday.
The Power, ejected from the premiership race by Collingwood in Saturday's preliminary final, entered the MCG more than two minutes late, the AFL said today.
The delay forced Collingwood to remain in their dressing rooms and delay entry to the ground, which potentially could have affected the Magpies' preparation, the AFL said in a statement.
The delay obviously didn't faze Collingwood, who trounced Port by 44 points to book a grand final berth against Brisbane.
The $10,000 fine was the second such penalty in three weeks issued to Port ? the SA-based club was fined for an early entry to the arena for its qualifying final against Sydney in Adelaide.
