Those in Sydney with Foxtel can watch it on Channel 518

If you have Foxtel in Sydney, you actually do pretty well with live footy - the Fox games are all live, and then the FTA games are typically live too.....Fri night (Main Event), Sat arvo (10/One HD), Sat night (Main Event if not on 10/One HD), most Ch 7 games on the Sunday arvo too...

The point is if seven's affiliate can do it why can't seven itself. In the old days the argument of other programs outraging the footy might have been true but I can't see the same thing for their tertiary station

Channel 070:
7:30 - Better Homes and Gardens (sigh - they even put this on in Victoria and delay the telecast by an hour)
8:30 - Movie: Duplicity (ex-CIA Julia Roberts and Clive Owen are on opposite sides of a corporate war and they're having an affair)

Channel 072 (7Two):
7:30 - That's My Boy
8:10 - Are You Being Served?
8:45 - Escape to the Country (Essex)
9:45 - 60 Minute Makeover

Channel 073 (7Mate)
7:30 - Gary Unmarried
8:30 - Reaper
9:30 - Movie: American Psycho

I appreciate that there are some people out there that don't like football and possibly some that even like Julia Roberts, but people who like Essex? Geez, if twenty people are watching 7Two tonight they'll call it a win.

Last night ONE had the footy live followed by a 30 minute post game wrap. The telecast didn't start on 10 until 11:30 (as usual). If 10 can do it why can't 7?

Add all the live NRL on Fox and the remote gets a fearsome workout.

And with the added bonus of an hours highlights package of the SFL on a Friday night - though this week they are showing last week's Swans Giants NEAFL game instead.

I only chanced on this tonight. I was going through the EPG (electronic programme) on 7MATE wondering if the game was on tomorrow (Sat) morning as is usually the case and noticed it was on tonight from 7.30. Woohoo, I'll watch the Friday night game live for a change.

Since Wimbledon is still on, we're going to a Bulldogs-Demons live too on 7mate

In related news, TEN has dropped the HD coverage from its AFL matches.

I'm sure it's nothing to do with the fact they won't be showing any AFL from 2012 onwards
