Langers, just out of curiosity, if you have been successful obtaining all copies of games you are asking for,, you must have the best collection of Swans games ever. Yes??

Langers I am in awe of your collection. How many hours of game footage do you think you have?

Got me thinking, what other collections of Swans related items & memorabilia do RWOers have? How big are they?

He did them a few years ago, and The HS had an offer to buy them.

I now have all four WEG Premiership Posters (http://www.redandwhiteonline.com/forum/showthread.php/12612-I-now-have-all-four-WEG-Premiership-Posters)

I've got all the Premiership Posters!!

All 5 of them!!

Same. And a Weg poster celebrating the 1960 Night grand final win. Pity WEG never produced anything for the '82 win.

5 Replica premiership cups.

2012 signed and framed Swans jumper.

Other bits of memorabillia I've kept for no other reason

Every single membership key ring since they were issued (I immediately took a disliking to this years key ring. The 05 key ring was a triangle, and the 06 key ring was a miniature Swans jumper with 06 on the back of it. The 12 key ring was a triangle, and the 13 key ring is a jumper with 13 on the back. Can you see where I'm going here??)

Every single membership card.

Winning grand final tickets.

Winning grand final footy records.

In terms of games footage, nothing compared to our fellow poster Langers. Although my video copy of the 96 Qualifying final has a piece of AFL history in it. Right there during an ad break is a message from the Hawthorn president of the time, urging Hawthorn members to vote in favour of the merger with Melbourne!! How things might have been.

My collection is solely limited at the moment to the 2005 and 2012 Panorama grand final pictures, plus the 2005 and 2012 WEG pics as well. Lots of random bits of merchandise however.

Going to have to change what wall is my "Premiership wall" if we win the flag this year (clap)

Who has the greatest number of Sydney membership caps?

Anybody who has a family membership soon racks up some caps with six to collect every year, especially if the kids memberships are in names of mythical family members. The extra 4 kids tickets get many a friend thru the gate...

Hah, sorry I meant who has the greatest number of types of caps. Having 6 of each year is cheating! When did the caps start being issued anyway?

I have video'd and dvd'd nearly all winning games from 1997 (plus 4 of 1996) and moved the video'd ones to dvd. Why? because 1996 was my first year, and I would tape the games to rewatch and teach myself the rules and regs etc. I would then overtape them. However I hit summer, and got the itches. I had almost NO footy to watch. Hooked big time. So from there on in I recorded all the games, and kept them. Fortunately in about 2003 I think it was Foxtel showed many of the old games and I was able to dvd those ones. I didn't keep the truly crap wins though. However, there are a lot of them which are fun to watch...a lot. Sheeeze I miss Foxtel.......

Also have all my membership key rings from 1997, and hats, and tags.

How did you make a copy from VHS to DVD? I have most of the 05/06 games on VHS sitting gathering dust in a lonely corner of the living room

So long ago I almost forget. I think I played the vhs on the tv and set my (blessed) hard drive recorder to copy it from tv, then copied it to dvd. I would be lost without that HD recorder.

However if you want me to run copies of them for you PM me and I may be able to help.

I've got 26 different Sydney/South Melbourne neck tie designs. I actually have 28 Swans ties but I somehow ended up with 3 of the same tie.
I'm always on the look out for any tie that I haven't already got, if anyone is looking to sell one (or to trade for one of my spare ones) feel free to let me know ;)

Apart from the members cards and all the stuff that goes with that I have photos, autographs from the South sides of the 60's.
I also have from the old Lake oval the line marker, fence palings, scoreboard numbers, race results sign from scoreboard, memberships for sale signs, lights from the light towers all these I got when they started to demolish the ground. I tried to get a row of seats from the members stand but got caught.

If anyone genuinely had a tie they were willing to part with, I could see if I could take a photo of my collection & post it here. Or else a picture of the tie on offer could be emailed to me so I could see if I already had it.

Thanks. I'm pretty happy with it. But I'm always on the look out for more!

Do you have the red and white one??

Haha! Many of the Swans ties have surprisingly little red & white on them. One of them is just plain black with a tiny little red Swans logo & 1987 under it. I wear it to formal "black tie" occasions ... with noted (but ignored) objections from my more fashion savvy partner ;)

I've got a bit of a collection of Swans related books. Books on their history & autobiographies/biographies. Over 30 so far. Pretty much all the ones listed on the RWO site plus a couple that are yet to make it there. Haven't got Rocket Eade's one yet coz it's only chapter 4 thats on his time with the Swans ... & they're not that big a chapter! Most of the books are signed by the authors too (either directly in the book or on a bookplate stuck into the book).

Also still have an original Tooheys training jumper from 1982. Also have a 2005 and a 1996 signed and framed jumper signed by all the players and coaches

I went a little crazy when I first discovered eBay about six years ago and have a heap of old tobacco cards from 1900s-1930s. No great rhyme or reason to what I bought but for a while there I was bidding on every old South card that came up. Won quite a few auctions but missed the final bid on quite a few others.

There were several regular names that I was bidding against, so some other people have heaps of cards as well. They are all just sitting in a box at the moment but I do intend framing some up one day. I came through rehab well and don't look at eBay any more.

I am sitting here and gazing at my second most prized possession, and cannot believe I left both of these out.

1. Stuey's boot - mounted on a plinth - won at the inaugural Trivia Night 2004 I think, presented to me by my best most favourite Nicksy, signed by 2003 Captain Stuart Maxfield and Brownlow Medal winner Adam Goodes.

2. In 1999 I broke my leg badly, and was in hospital when the Barassi Barbeque took place. A friend at the time took a huge get well card to the event, and it is signed by all of the team. Framed and in what I call my study.

I have $6500 (cost) of footy cards featuring the Swans (SM & Sydney) with some of the old cards from early 1900's. I have all key rings back to 2000 and m/ship[ cards to 1998 with a couple from 1970,s. I wish I had kept all my m/ships back to late 50's. I have jumpers with sash, r & W V , and Swans current jumper all framed. The sash was Patrick V's auctioned at H of Fame dinner and the Swans jumper is signed by Skilts. I have a plugger 1400 goal framed and signed, and T O C framed picture and the premiership posters of all p/ships with the last 2 accompanied by Signed cards. I have a photo of the old south ground, and a couple of other memoriabillia pieces.

Nice! I have the pair of boots Plugger wore in the last game of the 1997 season. Toes of each boot signed by the greatest full forward of all time & still stained with a little SCG mud. Not mounted :( but stored safely away for future display ;)

Don't know the value of my footy cards but I know there are a few thousand in my collection (or is it hoarding? ;) )

My work in progress is a jumper signed by Swans Brownlow medalists (Skilts, Goodsey, Roundy) & 300 gamers (Micky, Goodsey - well it's the same signature - & Jude). Not sure how I'll get the other Brownlow Medalists, but I'll work on it ;)

Red and white perhaps? With a noice V and no sign of cyggie?

Strangely enough, I only have 2 Swans ties and neither are in that pic.

One is a Burgundy coloured tie with tiny blue opera houses on a beige splash background. It is circa 96 or 97 and was the tie worn by the players that year. The other is a royal blue tie with a small club emblem design. I don't think it was an official AFL/Swans tie.

There are currently about 3 different ones on eBay for fairly reasonable prices. Goodscore has 1 or two. Swans have a new one out but it's $50 & it's close to the ugliest one in my collection & they might also have the 2012 premiers tie.

Otherwise I have got a lot from the Swans shop, or eBay over the years.

It'd be nice if you didn't bid against me tho ;)

Bradley, Cressa, MickyO I think, Nicksy, Cookie, standing naked with strategically placed tubes of moisturising cream? 1997 ish? God they were gorgeous. Bradley looked like he was about to drop the tube completely, Cookie has amazing pecs, Nicksy is laughing his head off. Its a lovely picture........very artistic........Now where the hell have I put it!!
