Open Mike is with former Swan David Rhys Jones - that should be a bit of a laugh....

Colless was great. Didn't cover any new ground, but nor did he need to. His chat with the panel about what the club was like when he got there was interesting, as was his admission that they didn't realise until 2002 that 1996 wasn't just going to happen again automatically. He covered the COLA thing well too.

I thought it was good viewing for Swans fans.

I have to admit I also got the feeling that something has happened in the background involving Roos.

Maybe a couple of clubs have offered him massive dollars to come and coach their teams? Maybe he's not being given access to the team anymore because of all the innuendo?

Richard Colless will go down as one of our greatest recruits. I thank him and wish him the very best for the future.

Absolutely. It would only be wild speculation as to what has happened so I'm not going to do that but it did have that feel to it. My understanding was that he was already opting out of the Academy next year (that's news from a month or two back), but I may have that wrong.

Absolutely correct with what he had to say re: Hird.

My wife looked up to agree with him about Hird "the hero".

Like so many in the Swans, we can be confident that he will say and do the right thing.

Was so refreshing to hear that view, and its time the mainstream media also did the same. Hird a hero - I call bull@@@@!!!!

I have to say I was impressed by Sheehan's stance on this given sat On the Couch with Hird, and probably counts him as a mate - he was just as strong as Colless (and much less biased than the 360 guys on the Cats final fiasco too).

Totally agree, changed a basket case into a team with heart, soul, and a undying ethos. Have a look at South Melbourne /Sydney administrators and hes in top two ?
