In recognition to where our great theme song or fight song was born. I can't help but shed tears whenever I watch this. Thank you Notre Dame!

And for the record, the Notre Dame Fight Song has been continually voted across the USA over many years as the number 1 fight song in the country.

We should invite them to come and do half time entertainment at one of our games - that was awesome!

I was half expecting a banjo player to jump out there in the middle.

For a completely different context, check out this version. For those who still don't know the source, the movie had a different title in Australia. Yes I am serious and don't call me Shirley.

I was an exchange student at Indiana University 20-odd years ago. My neighbours in my dorm were big Notre Dame fans and they'd blast the song every time they'd win a football game (which was often). My love of this song is two-fold, as it always reminds me of good times past as well as a Swans victory :)

A short clip on the history of our song. It was played for the first time at Notre Dame on Easter morning in 1909. Yes, the same year the Swans won their first premiership.

We will dedicate this year's premiership to The Gipper. Or President Reagan:smile:!

It would be great to have the band play that song as the team run onto the MCG is two weeks time.
