Sam Lane just announced this on the pre game show.

He will play on.

I've been having a feeling that Adam will retire for quite a while. And that he would announce his retirement as part of his Norm Smith Medal acceptance speech.

Nonsense.

Personally I think this is madness if we are going to persist with the current four talls in the forward line. Would be much much happier if he could still play midfield regularly. But Lewis gave home a bath in the centre square today.

Has he officially said he is playing on? I don't want to turn on the tv or radio!!

Even if he decides to play on it is quite likely he will end up playing in reserves like ROK. The same goes for Shaw. Mel will leave.

Mal will stay but I think Goodes and Shaw should hang them up. Not because they're not good enough but because it's what's best for the long term development of our list.

It was good to hear his feelings on the game - spot on. According to this he is yet to make up his mind.

I, for one, want him to play on. If only to provide mature leadership in the face of the part time leadership that was exposed yesterday. But I wouldn't blame him if he decided he'd had enough. He gave it his all yesterday, and his disciples did not follow him into battle.......pity.

Shaw was average

Shaw was dreadful - seemed to give the ball away every time he touched it.

I'm happy for Goodes to play on, as long as he accepts the chance it'll be like ROK this year. I think the coaches have to make the hard call on Shaw however.
