I know the pros and cons, but in practical terms can it be done? Liz?

Good question. I think we have three on the LTI list and only two elevated rookies don't we?

When they took Robinson off the LTI list a few weeks ago they had to put Foote back on the rookie list so we can conclude that there isn't a space

Surely they would have put O'Riordan on the list, just in case?

Of course as soon as I wrote that it occurred to me that O'Riordan himself is a rookie :cower:

If they were going to put anyone on the list, it would have been Reid. But it seems they were still holding out hope that he might make it back in time.

Out of interest. I'm assuming the 8 weeks is calendar weeks not playing weeks so a clever club would surely ltil a non playing senior player if they REALLY wanted a rookie to play at this time of year ??? Leonardis ankle or knee looked very bad yesterday.
