Welcome to another season. A long, hot summer is behind us; and the pre-season is done and dusted. Now it's time for the real stuff to get under way.
And our Premier Division tipping comp is back. It's a weekly competition, with a new thread posted every week.
The rules are quite simple. Each week, you post in the thread the teams that you think will win the Premier Division games.
If you tip correctly, you get 1 point. If the game ends in a draw, you get half a point.
If you miss a week, you get the minimum score from those who did enter tips. If you start after round 1, you get the minimum of the rounds you missed before you started tipping.
If you miss three weeks in a row, you are eliminated.
If the site suffers a technical glitch which means some people are able to enter tips and some aren't, those who were unable to enter tips get the average score of those who could get them in.
In the event of any dispute, ambiguity in the rules or unanticipated calamity; Norris Lurker in his infinite wisdom will be sole judge, jury and executioner.
The round 1 matches are:
Western Suburbs v Sydney University (Picken Oval, Sat 2:00pm)
Manly v UTS (Weldon Oval, Sat 2:30pm)
East Coast Eagles v UNSW-ES (Kanebridge Oval, Sat 3:00pm)
St George v North Shore (Olds Park, Sat 3:15pm)
