Hi all, the coordinator of the South Australian Swans Supporter Group asked if I could give a shout out regarding their 2021 🎄Christmas🎁 function.

If any Adelaide/South Australian based Swans supporters were keen to attend, it’s going to be held on:

Saturday December 11th (6.30pm)
Cathedral Hotel, Good Samaritan Room

There are prizes, gifts & a Christmas raffle on the night as well as food etc.

For further details about meals, costs, what’s on offer etc, feel free to contact the supporter group at [email protected]

Hope see some of you there in person

Just a quick update. With Covid restrictions, guests at the SA Swans Supporter 🎄 Christmas 🎅🏼 dinner will be limited to 40 attendees. At the moment, I’m told there are just 6 seats available.

And announced today, the special guest for the the evening will be former Swan great Greg Smith (1980-1984, 96 games) who made the #8 famous before Crezza and Tippett! Greg will be interviewed during the evening & should be available for a chat and a reminisce. Another former Swan is likely to be in attendance.

There will be raffles and silent auctions of some unique Swans memorabilia and merchandise up for grabs on the night as well as a good meal and the company of other Swans supporters.

So if you’d like to attend and haven’t RSVP’d yet, drop an email to the supporter group to reserve your spot [email protected] and perhaps drop a comment here to let others know if you’re going. Be good to catch up!

But just to have a post that is actually relevant to the actual thread topic, the SA dinner is now sold out (pending withdrawals of attendees).

Hope to see some of you there.

Great to see some of the posters on here at the SA Swans supporter Christmas dinner. Hope those that attended had a good evening. Pretty good food, happy atmosphere and an interesting interview of former Swan, Greg Smith.

I’m not sure whether it might be helpful at future functions for RWO members who attend to wear a sticker or name badge with our RWO names? Or perhaps anonymity should be maintained? :hmmm

Lovely gesture with the presents for all who attended at the end of the evening. And hopefully the raffles raised some funds.

Love the concept of the donated merchandise table. Great way to offload unwanted Swans items to be recycled to a loving home and to raise a little more $ for the group.

Well done to Jeanette for arranging it again and introducing some new ideas.

Merry Christmas to all who attended
