another boring tute.... *yawn* but i decided to rank the afl captains. This is just my opinion of whos is the best leader and most needed by their team etc... just who id want as captain of my team out of the 2004 skippers.... tell me its rubbish if u like or agree or dont read...trhough if your up to this line you may as well

1- Voss (BL)
2- Ricciuto (ADEL)
3- Bell (FREO)
4- Buckley (COLL)
5- Cousins (WCE)
6- Hird (ESS)
7- Simpson (KAN)
8- Neitz (MEL)
9- Maxfield (SYD)
10- Crawford (HAW)
11- Grant (WB)
12- Hayes (STK)
13- King (GEEL)
14- Campbell (RICH)
15- Koutafidies (CARL)
16- Primus (PORT)

ummm i also predicted the new captains for 2005.... first is teams that are certain changers

HAW:- Mitchel or Vandenberg
WB:- Johnson or Hahn
Stk:- Riewoldt
RICH:- Coughlan or Johnson

and teams that may change
PORT:- Tredrea
SYD:- Hall or Kirk

out of that list, if I had to choose one for next year I'd take Hayes, Cousins or King first, coz mostly the others are getting on a bit.

I think Hird, Voss, Ruicito and Buckly are clearly the best.

Not only do they generally play well, they lead by example in public and have the ulitmate respect from their team mates.

The rest are quite good, but I think the 4 above are a level above.

I rate Crawford too, I just think he is too much tabloid fodder to be a captain.

crawford was a pretty good captain......, i think he was dealt with rather unfairly in the media

mind you who did his hair last night... im no fashion guru but it looked like he brushed it with a mop or something

Not Hall because of his temper.

I am certain Lenny Hayes will change because StK share their captaincy alot.

i think you pick the best captain you can and stick with it..

need more than a year generally to establish yourself in the captaincy

I don't mind St. Kilda's system.

If your leadership group is strong enough, the captain is really just a figurehead anyway.

Thomas has a young team, so he needed to instill some responsibility into his younger stars, and I think this system works well for that.
