You're kidding me?! I don't think I've heard a wankier name for a sports stadium anywhere, other than maybe England! Is it a sponsorship thing, or did they just feel the need for a change?

Its a sponsorship thing ... No it ISN'T named after the Southern Aurora Lights (well actually it is, but indirectly).

1998 - still government owned, but I think they are going to, or already pumping electricity under bass straight and into the mainland power grid, so decided to update the company name.

I don't think anyone calls it that though - I still hear Mum say "Yeah, we got the Hydro bill yesterday" lol
