Tired, cranky but a busy day tomorrow so I'll jot down a quick summary and a few notes of the players involved.

GWS did start very strong and while the Swans missed their shots, I thought the Giants were good value for their 4 goals. They moved the ball well through the midfield and capitalised on some sloppy Swans defence. The Swans on the other hand were haphazard by foot going into forward line, preferring to bomb long into the tall timber down there rather than spot up open players.

Playfair must have reiterated to the players to stick to their structures during the break as from then on it was all one way traffic.

A big win, a solid performance but I think the coaches will be more than a little disappointed that the Eagles could not replicate their performance from the corresponding match last year. The Swans dominated possession and field position, starting from the utter dominance of the ruck division, feeding both our inside and outside midfielders who gave good clean ball to a very potent (and tall) forward line. It was a relatively high scoring game with Belconnen taking the cudos for accuracy at 14.4.88, but Swans winning at 16.8.104.
