That was kind of part of the not 100% serious post. At the moment, I would rather have someone have a shot than attempt to pass off to someone, turn the ball over and the opposition has a shot for goal in three possessions when it took us 20 to get I50.
But, sorry, I should have used a stupid emoticon so it was clear to everyone that I had not thought deeply about the possibility of Fevola coming to sydney.
Now if you'll excuse me I have to search for some statistics to back up the "Judd to sydney for a fourth round PSD pick and a roll of bog paper" thread which I'm looking to start.
Fevola

While Fev might be a good player on-field, he is completely useless off it and I don't think we need someone like him up here. I'd think he would fit in perfectly at the Weagles as none of them seem to have half a brain between them when it comes to behavior off the field.

I just have horrible thoughts about Fevola and his bookend, fellow bogan Willie Mason hitting the town together. The mind boggles at the destruction those two could cause. Our reformed types like BBBH at least have a brain. Fevola is totaly bereft in that area, it's a bit hard to reform somebody when any advise goes in one ear and straight out the other. Best left in Melbourne.
from your mouth to god's ears orb.

Forget about the forward line. If we are to make a play, make a play for a skillful on-baller FFS.Leave a comment:

Fev is on 500 odd per season and has one year left to run on his contract(Carlton may not play him but they wont release him for nothing either)- Has been playing injured last few weeks. Wears his heart on his sleeve ala Richo and needs his wife in his corner to keep him in check. Given the size of the SCG he probably isnt the best option out there for you guys.Leave a comment:

Maybe we need to entice Wayne Carey out of retirement...?if jolly leaves and because of age spida is really only a prospect for the next two/three years... what is our ruck going to be in 2009/10? doyle and???
right now i think we have one of the best ruck combinations in the league and with jolly being the younger out of the two i would be doing everything possible to keep him here for the long term... wife needs a hobby or something to keep her busyLeave a comment:

no
1. fev is a dickhead of the most senior magnitude
2. its got the ring of "top up and go one more about it" - if this aint the year then the next two years won't be either and it'll be time to trade FOR picks and do the youth cycle.
doggies would outbid us anyway (and aker would be at his third club).Leave a comment:

So, what's her username?
Forget Fevola's "only behave like a dickhead" policy off-field; I think that on-field he is a guy who will only ever play for himself. He won't contribute to team success in the way that Plugger and BBBH did and have.
Leading the comp in goal-kicking in the team that finished last, will be the crowning glory of his career. I would rather support a team that finished in the 8 where no bloke kicked more than 35 goals, personally. He might 'need' escape from the footy hothouse of Melbourne (in the same sense that an alcoholic 'needs' to dry out), but I bet he doesn't want to escape.Leave a comment:

No, Hawthorn are the reason, for not trading Spida to us a year earlier.
Sounds to me like Goodes was given permission by the club to say what he said while the club pretended silence on the matter. Very interesting.Goodes doesn't seem to have a problem with Fevola joining the Swans but I doubt the club are interested in taking him.
Fevola may need a shift to Swans: Goodes
Or Fev could go CHF and BH could go CHB.Last edited by cruiser; 3 July 2007, 10:49 PM.Leave a comment:
