The problem with that is that they want to get as many people there live as possible. That is only possible at the MCG due to the capacity.Last edited by goswannie14; 4 April 2008, 05:59 AM. -
I'd love to see them play a game like this in Sydney - I think it would a huge lift for the game's profile to have all the superstars playing here at once.Leave a comment:

Should be based on clubs.
Victorian Clubs vs Allied Clubs
Geelong
Melbourne
Richmond
Essendon
Collingwood
Carlton
St Kilda
Hawthorn
Kangaroos
Bulldogs
vs
Sydney
Port
West Coast
Freo
Adelaide
Brisbane
Arguments come up far too often over this subject - and you can never say "Look at the scoreboard".Last edited by Bloody Hell; 4 April 2008, 03:48 AM.Leave a comment:

Thinking about this today in Melbourne (God, I love being able to read loads of footy stuff in the paper).
Goodes a cert
Hall perhaps if the "good" Hall continues to turn up
Kirk almost a cert for the All Stars for mine - heck maybe even captain given no Roo, Cousins, Hird or buckley?
O'Keefe & tadhg the other possibles.
I loved SOO and am looking forward to this with relish.Leave a comment:

They're ALL under an injury cloud and not available for selection.
There are NO Swans available for this @@@@ concept dreamed up by some @@@@wit at AFL house.Leave a comment:

That's one thing that hasn't changed. We always used to get slaughtered.
We're fighting for the right to be slaughtered individually, rather than as part of some Rest of The World team manufactured by Andy D.Leave a comment:

As a NSWelshman, I'm also pumped for this game.
The SA and WA folk need to realise things have changed and they would get slaughtered, no good for anything except possible injuries. I can't believe Vics cannot get excited by the prospect of proving themselves superior.
If my roster allows it, I'm seriously considering flying down for this game, I reckon it will be awesome.Leave a comment:

Killjoys...comments like this are why we no longer play SOO. If they are gonna get injured, it is gonna happen...should we stop them training just in case they get injured on the track??? I think it is awesome to see our best footballers all out on the same park, at the same time. Aussie Rules is not an International game (yet???) so this is the only real chance we get to see it...don't rob us of that!Leave a comment:

Or, on the other hand it could be exclusively filled with Geelong players. (On both sides)O'Keefe's another with a pretty good shot at it, especially if he keeps up his early season form. And maybe Leapin' Leo too.
And Kennelly probably only has to be in half-decent form to get a gig because the attractions to the AFL of having a non-Australian take part are significant (they've already announced that those of non-Australian origin will wear their nation's emblem on their guernsey) and he's got to be the most likely of the Irish contingent.
Goodes, certainly, is a chance to get in primarily on reputation, though he may need to show a tad more form over the next month than he has for the past fortnight.
Not sure about Kirk. Although we all know he's a pretty good ball winner in his own right, there are still perceptions of him that he's primarily a shut-down player. And I can't see many players being picked for their tagging ability in an exhibition game of this nature.Leave a comment:

Yep, it is another narcisstic AFL/VFL wank. I can't imagine they'll allow a Hall of Fame game for the 150th SA or WA anniversaries. I declare myself unavailable for this game!Leave a comment:
