Round 8 v Bombers

I think we only got 31,000 against the Bombers in the 2005 match at the Olympic stadium, though we were coming off Andy D's infamous comments a week earlier
I distinctly remember the crowd that night, it sounded more like 60,000 in the last quarter when the game was tight, probably because most of them were 'real fans'. I guess losing the bandwagoners has its advantages

Shame this game isn't at the SCG....there will be no atmosphere since the bummers are such fair weather fans.
If the crowd gets over 35,000 it will be a miracle.Leave a comment:

The lowest score against Essendon since rd 2 is 123 pts and the average is 141 pts.
We should win this > 10 goals.Leave a comment:

Great to see no adam McCheater, and as long as everyone from Sydney gets through the farce of a game on the weekend then I think we will win it fairly comfortably. The equation is pretty simple- we can not afford to lose this game if we want to make the eight/do half decently this year. A gimme game needs to be a gimme game. We have already dug a hole after a very good start to the season and a loss here would put us right back in the pack and back up against it. Knowing the swans, its just about what we will do but Im hopeful for a reasonable performance and a fairly easy 4 points.Leave a comment:

Even in this era of relative success I'm never convinced that we will win unless we're up by at least 50 at 3/4 time.
Opposition injury lists are irrelevant when the collective red and white brain is not switched on.
Good to see that Adam McCheat isn't playing. That's a lovely slice of karma.Leave a comment:

You know you are a Swans supporter when you are still nervous about playing a bottom team with so many name players out!Leave a comment:
