Where is Kerr with the Eagles? Touted as going to Carlton?

We are good at recruiting established players, no one has mentioned us and Kerr, that I can recall.

Kerr 'aint saying nothin' at the mo. Throw that one into your Weetbix.

He is not a necessariy evil because until some of you fools on here realize, our window for a premiership is shut with the current team and Couso is not part of the next generation that will lift us to a new challenge hopefully in a few seasons time. It would imo only be blocking up a spot that we can use for a young player on the list. I dont care how awesome he has been in the past, he will only bring baggage with him. He'll fit in just perfectly at @@@@@@@king collingwood anyway!

I would hardly regard Triple M as a definitive source of information. I'd be very happy to see Cousins come to Sydney, albeit as a necessary evil.

Let him go to Collingwood - he can replace Didak and NO I don't want him either.

Did you watch the Tv coverage tonight? They spoke about it at half time.

On MMM prior to the game they stated that he had signed with them...I can only go by that. And it was discussed by the team for some minutes about his good relationship with Malthouse!

he has already signed with Collingwood, so this thread is even more pointless than when it was last aired.

But our premiership window is closed. It would be absolutely pointless to recruit him if you look at the big picture.

There seems to be an assumption we will be cellar dwellers in 09, and therefore need to take the path of bottoming out before we can challenge again. OK. That may be right, but our recent history shows we might be the exception to the rule. Who do we need to clear out? Everitt? Crouch? Matthews? Even Leo Barry? Kirk? But if you do that we have several dreadful years in the wilderness in the hope that Vespasian etc. develop as we hope. All I'm saying is Cousins has a lot to offer in 09. Those cheap jokes about him snorting the white line are just rubbish. You people have no idea. The guy is an ultra professional sportsman with a lot to prove. Given where we are at, I'd like to see him prove in a red and white guernsey.

Cousins is too old and can't walk past a white line without wanting to snort it. Best available kids would be better.

Some people on here need to get a grip on reality.

Recruiting 31-32 year olds is the WORST possible thing we could do at this stage.

We are a team who has just experienced a few great years but unfortunately things look like they're about to take a turn for the worse. Recruiting blokes who only have two years left is completely illogical because we need to rebuild from the ground up. This means drafting YOUNGSTERS, to try and get a new group together who will be around for a long time.

For a team in our position, recruting Cousins would be like putting a bandaid over a bullet wound.
