Of the young boys...Bird looks good under pressure, as does Jack.
But when the kitchen gets white hot...you can't go past Leaper...... lest we forget.
That's very true! In weak matches the Leaper can be embarassing at times but when the going gets real tough ,he has never let us down and THAT MARK is famous forever because of the context, the sheer guts to do that and the consequences that flowed from it all.I'll add Bazz to the list and defend Buchanan being there. He was also sensational in the last quarter in 2006.Not his fault we lost! Goodes should be on the list but isn't because of that long bomb forward in the dying moments of GF 2006 when finding a chest in the forward 50 arc would have won the game for us.

I'd include Baz. Apart from decking Staker, he absorbs high pressure week in, week out, and hands out plenty of his own. He's a strong presence on the field - I just wish he'd stop complaining and whingeing to the umps about his lot and get on with the job.

Not sure how he is regarded by you as very close to our best under pressure.
    Are you related?

OK, he is prone to making tackles look worse than they are, trying to win a free kick, but when it comes to committing himself to a contest, Buchanan is one of our toughest players. He puts in the one percenters week in, week out, and always attacks packs at full force. Not sure where that attitude comes from.

Do you think there was any pressure in the final quarter of the '05 GF ?????

Buchanan's final quarter in the 05 GF was as crucial as Davis' final quarter a fortnight earlier. We would not have won the flag without either of them.

    Buchanan is no squib.

Who are best and most consistent players under pressure?

I rate Kirk our top player followed closely by Buchanan and B2. Who shines under pressure and who wilts?
