No hate from the official site. Puff piece here

    This is encouraging news;
'Grundy is conceding less than one goal a game this season and ranks fourth in the team for marks and contested marks'

Don't say that the Swans selectors and the head coach have fluked it again. It was bad enough that they let that untalented McVeigh run around long enough that he's learned the game but now it's happened to Reg, too. Play the kids, for god's sake.

I am annoyed at him for removing my need to be annoyed at him.

Developing, slowly, but getting better. Thank heavens Hanners can give us a quicker development to watch. But yes, he is better than he was. Had to be.

There certainly has been some progress. A lot more needed.

Regularly got beaten one-on-one and simply misjudged flight of the ball embarrassingly at one point (went well under it like against Essendon in the goalsquare). Good defenders don't do that.

His footskills are amongst the worst in the team, which is amongst the worst in the comp. Missed some easy targets again this week.

Does the easy things like linking up for uncontested handballs competently though. Can take a grab when in front (which is not often as he's slow off the mark and very reactive).

    So, yes.

But watching the replay last night, the thing that impressed me particularly was how clean he was off the ground. Even when he played some good footy earlier in the season, he was very fumbly when the ball hit the deck. But yesterday he was picking the ball up clean as a whistle.
Noticed the same, particularly when under extreme pressure.

That was the thing I noticed too, he had very clean hands. Is he getting a bit of confidence?

One of his better games for sure.

One decent game is not enough to call him a quality player though... and I still like him much more as a forward.

One thing he does need to do is drop the ball from the hand to the foot with much more care and skill - far too often kicks it on the outside or inside of the boot and the result is a missed target.

Could take a lead from Pluger who virtually placed it on the middle of the boot. Amazing foot skills for a big man.

I got very nervous when he and the ball were on the deck and each time he surprised.

I hope he can continue to work with that kind of confidence. All you need to do it take that extra half a second and the possession is clean enough for a better disposal.

The balance is fine when the kitchen is hot, but sometimes if you rush to dispose poorly, the turnover will always kill you. If you take possession a little slower and take a tackle, at least you can reset from the stoppage.

I noticed the same thing, to the extent that I became unsure as to which was which. But someone who looks like both of em played a helluva game!
