Given the Hall condemnation, I would suspect that many RWOers who sit criticising St. Kilda right now would be the same people who would be demanding Lovett's removal from the club.
Anyone who put a knife in Hall's back has no place in being critical of how the Saints have acted, given the severity of (potentially) both instances.

I'm sorry Hall left, but it's hard to see how he could have stayed.
And I'm not critical of the Saints' decision; in their position, I'd do the same.

But the club has other issues, such as the other players don't want him in the team and (I imagine) the leaders and coaches have lost any trust in him they may have had. I was prepared to consider him at one stage; I'm glad our people have more sense, or better info.

Read in the paper that the Roosters sold 56 memberships within two hours of announcing Mason was leaving the club, their membership has been going up a lot compared to last season, conversely the Cowboys have had a decrease in the number of people signing up since signing the lard mouth

If that is the case there is a good chance the season will be destroyed. Hopefully the case can be dealt with a little more than the much delayed Brett Stewart (NRL if anyone cares) charge. Long delays hurt everyone including the alleged victim.

The timing seems a bit odd. If he is guilty of the various contractual breaches the Saints have referred to, why did they wait until the day after he was charged with a criminal charge to sack him? Why didn't they do it some time ago?

Because at the time they said that would wait until the official police investigation was over.

The police obviously think they have enough evidence to charge him.

It was the right time to terminate the contract.

I totally agree. Innocent until proven guilty is probably the most important principle underlying our society, and it's always getting put under pressure.

That said, Lovett is probably his own worst enemy.
