Yep, the Bevo haters have gone quiet. He and Teddy have been solid this past month.

Hate is too strong a word but the Bevo shouldn't be in the team brigade have gone quiet because he's playing good football and you have to give credit where it's due. Doesn't mean they were wrong because he had been playing crap footy for a long time.

Makes a lot of sense. If only everyone pitched in so consistently with the 1%ers, there'd be no need to rev people up and get them focused.

im still not totally convinced these two will be in our best 22 if everyone was fit.

THey're not, but when are we ever fully fit? WE've been down at least four or five players for most of the year. That's normal. To be a top team you really need to bat deep like Collingwood. They've got players like O'Bree, Fraser, Anthony and Lockyer running around in the twos.

The form of Bevan and Richards has been a key part of the Swans' revival in the past three or four weeks.

THe Age ran this story on "fill-in players", quoting Grant Thomas. Didn't mention Bevo and Ted, but they certainly fit that description.

I totally agree and have argued this in another thread. I like him in a forward pocket with smashing tackles on the defenders that don't give away a goal if the Umpire judges them too high!...

It kind of works like a professional foul doesn't it. Even if he does give away a free kick he it still holds up play somewhat, allowing our boys chance to get back into defensive positions.
