Many thanks BRC. That just about covers it.

Well I can tell you as us Americans know everything there is to know:

Well, it wouldn't happen in an AFL game.

However, if some Club wasn't to clever then:

    1. A Club has to submit a team sheet before playing and only those players are allowed to be on the field.

    2. So if a suspended player is on the field then an Umpire can order them off as per rule 9.4.2 Refusal to Leave Surface

    3. They can then stop the game and the team for which the player was playing, forfeits the match.

    4. Player gets bigger suspension and Club will most probably be fined.

The AFL can order suspended players to stay away from the game on game day if they want to.

Much obliged and don't mention it.

Didn't Collingwood jokingly consider playing a suspended player in a grand final no less? IIRC, one of the Wakelin's was injured and the other suspended and the interviewee said (kidding) that they considered playing the suspended brother as the injured one. Didn't mention what the penalty would have been though :-)

Anyway, congrats to Cunningham. A great achievement to be elevated so soon. A little surprised it didn't happen earlier since we've got the room on the list.

    Sounds like
    Bird into Parker role
Cunningham into outside mid - Bird and McGlynn role
some one else into 22 to sub and/or start with Armstrong remaining as sub (my bet on Spangher as sub)
