This week to the finals - got it all worked out

I certainly don't think you can rule out Geelong from outside the 4, but I think North will be shown up come finals time. I think they are a vastly improved team, no doubt about that, but are like the Swans of 2010-11 I feel - a good chance to make the 2nd week and possibly push for a prelim spot, but no better than that. -

Not my point, Adelaide have had the wood on us recently. My point is 30k at the scg would be better than 25-30k at homebushThat's exactly what the Crows would be thinking.
Over the years - and including this year - we've played the Crows at the SCG sixteen times for the grand total of five wins and eleven defeats. And one of those defeats was in a final.
The SCG holds no fears for Adelaide.Leave a comment:

If we do play crows at home in first week. It would be a good one for the scg!Leave a comment:

We MUST win next week. A week 1 final at home against the Crows would be the perfect result.Leave a comment:

It's still in our hands, we beat Geelong and we earn two home finals. Whether we finish 1st or 2nd is irrelevant in terms of our flag chances.Leave a comment:

- If the hawks win and the cats defeat us then we play Adelaide @ AAMI
- If the hawks win and we beat the cats then we play Adelaide @ ANZ
- If West Coast win and the cats defeat us then we play Hawks @ MCG

I wouldn't put it past WC to win next week. This year is as close as you can get and the top 7 sides are all in with a chance. I wouldn't rule out Geelong and North as they could feature in the gf from outside the 4 too.Leave a comment:

I do think Hawthorn will beat WC at the MCG, but it is in no way a given. So we could very well still finish anywhere within the top 3 potentially. But I do think Hawthorn will win that, so it looks like it is probably going to be Adelaide in week 1 of the finals, with the Geelong game to decide if its home or away.
Whoever we get, if we turn up with our A game and play it for a large part (3+ quarters) of the match, then we are good enough to beat any team home or away. Whether we can do that in 2012 is another question, but I have no doubt the boys will give it a red hot go.Leave a comment:

Well Adelaide home or away may well be the best we could get. They do have some seriously good forwards, but elsewhere they really aren't all that amazing. Sit on thompson and danger field and they are beatable.Leave a comment:

You think W/C are no chance against Haw. next week?Barry got it right. Barring some result that I don't think is going to happen, we're playing Adelaide in the first week of finals. Next week at Geelong decides whether that match is home or away.
Even though Collingwood's form is dodgy, can't say that I'm devastated that we're missing them first week.Leave a comment:

If we win and W/C beat Haw. ( a bit of a chance) then we are top and play eagles at home.First final.. choice of Adelaide or Hawks (MCG), I'd take Adelaide in a shot. IMO Adelaide are tiring badly, and have the whole Tippet drama. Perfect team to meet first up. Should slot into 3rd with Pies loss now. So win or lose next week, we'll meet Adelaide either home or away. Good result.... in a way.Leave a comment:
